My paintings are lyrical, atmospheric abstractions of meditation and memory. They explore those moments when we release our tensions and ease into clear, quiet spaces in our minds. They are meant as resting places, uncluttered and serene oases from our hectic, complex, fragmented world. As offerings of the rhythms and mysteries of our lives, they are portals to peace and deeper connections within our human experience, those places beyond words. These paintings, with their subtle complexity, are layered translucently in search of radiance, nuance, depth and elegance. They evolve through a process of improvisation, experimentation, revision and intuition.

We shall not cease from exploration
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time.
